Day 1

Arrive in Christchurch, the Garden City

Collect your rental car at Christchurch Airport and begin exploring leafy parks and modern rebuild areas. Visit the Botanic Gardens, punt on the Avon River, ride the historic tram, or browse Riverside Market. Enjoy a relaxed first day in the Garden City.

Day 2

Christchurch → Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park

Breakfast at hotel. Drive across the Canterbury Plains to Lake Tekapo and its Church of the Good Shepherd, then continue past Lake Pukaki into Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park. New Zealand’s highest peak rises above stunning alpine scenery.

Day 3

Mt Cook → Dunedin, City of Scottish Heritage
